About The Software

How can I create 3D terrains or imagery?

You can create 3D terrains and imagery easily with our partner plugin Plex-Earth. Check Plex Earth’s pricing and features or contact us for more information or assistance.

You can also use any other similar software that can generate 3D meshes as dwg / dxf.

Moreover, TIN surfaces generated in AutoCAD Civil 3D or BricsCAD Pro are also accepted by our software.

Do you sell Plex-Earth licenses?

Yes, we offer a combo package of Virto.CAD and Plex-Earth. Contact our sales team for more info.

Which mounting systems are integrated?

We’ve integrated Panelclaw, Aerocompact (USA), Sunbeam, Enstall, Avasco Solar and Van Der Valk.

You can use their data for your project to calculate ballast and create a Bill of Materials.

Can I calculate solar energy yield with Virto.CAD?

No, Virto.CAD does not simulate solar energy yield. However, we do provide a direct export to PVsyst to simulate the solar energy yield via PV collada (.pvc format).

Since PVsyst is still one of the most accurate yield simulations, we feel very confident leaning on their software for this.

Can I import conceptual designs?

We’ve connected Virto.MAX and Virto.CAD so you can easily continue working from conceptual designs made in the pre-sales phase in Virto.MAX. This way, engineers do not need to remake any drawings for the engineering part. How it’s done:

  1. Export your project as a .dwg file in Virto.MAX
  2. Open Virto.CAD – open your Virto.MAX .dwg file
  3. Continue with engineering.

You can also use conceptual 2D CAD designs and rebuild those into Virto.CAD projects.
