What does Virto Solar do?
Here at Virto we develop cutting-edge software to design photovoltaic solar parks. Our products include :
- Virto.CAD : AutoCAD / BricsCAD plugin for EPC and developers of utility-scale ground-mounted or commercial rooftop based solar projects.
- Virto.CORE : a white label framework to design customized applications for solar manufacturers, wholesalers or suppliers.
- Virto.360 : set to launch in Autumn 2023 for SME solar installers.
Our pv software automates the entire engineering process and removes monotone tasks that take a lot of time or which increase the risk of making any calculating errors.

Did you change your brand name?
Yes we did! We changed our name from "Virtuosolar" to "VIRTO".
This new name allows us to present ourselves as the most innovative and trusted solar design software company and splits our CAD, Web and Framework software into the sub-brands Virto.CAD, Virto.360 and Virto.Core respectively. Read more about us here.

How much does your PV software cost?

How do I buy your software?
Please contact us for a custom quote or to buy a Virto.CAD license.
When & how will I receive my order?
When you've purchased our software, you will receive a confirmation email.
We have a processing time of max. 24 hours on working days. Once your purchase has been processed, we will send you a new email with an activation code.
What are the license options for Virto.CAD?
There are 3 license options for Virto.CAD :
- Single Workstation License: 1 user + 1 PC. This license allows you to install our software on 1 PC and can be used by 1 person.
- Dual Activation License: 1 user + 2 PC's. This license allows you to install our software on 2 PC's and can be used by 1 person simultaneously. It is possible to create a "Custom Pool" and combine a two or more licenses.
- Enterprise Tailored: customized. Please contact us for a price quote.
Virto.CAD
Do I need any prior 3D knowledge?
No. Our PV plugin is designed in such a way there's no need to go back to studying or hire someone else to step in to do your 3D modeling.
Our solar AutoCAD / BricsCAD plugin includes easy 3D modelling options.

What are the system requirements of my PC?
You'll need specific system requirements to be able to use Virto.CAD :

Can I use an onboard graphics card?
No, it's not possible to use an onboard graphics card since this will not garantuee a good performance.
An integrated onboard graphics card is a card that does not have its own CPU, but rather is using your system's RAM and system CPU to get the visuals out that you require.

Do I need any prior software installations?
You do not need any other software or programs to run our web application Virto.CORE.
If you want to work with our Virto.CAD plugin, you'll need AutoCAD or BricsCAD.
Do you sell any CAD programs?
Can I get a free trial?
Yes! We offer a free trial so you can try our solar PV plugin for AutoCAD or BricsCAD.

How can I create 3D terrains or imagery?
By using our partner plugin Plex-Earth, you can easily create 3D terrains and imagery. Find pricing and features here or contact us for more information or assistance.
You can also use any other similar software that can generate 3D meshes as dwg / dxf.
Moreover, TIN surfaces generated in AutoCAD Civil 3D or BricsCAD Pro are also accepted by our software.
Does your software also calculate solar energy yield?
No, Virto.CAD does not simulate solar energy yield.
We provide an export to PVsyst to simulate the solar energy yield via PV collada (.pvc format).
Since PVsyst is still one of the most accurate yield simulations, we feel very confident leaning on their software.
Can I have a demonstration?

Do you provide trainings?
Yes, we do! We provide trainings for either new clients who want to get started with our pv software; or for existings clients who want an update on the latest changes and newest features.
We offer both online and in company trainings (3+ people).

How can I get support?

Can I have a demonstration?
Yes, you can! Contact us by filling out the contact form or schedule a demo yourself.
How much does it cost and what are the options?
Virto.CORE is a custom made WEB based framework. Based on your expectations and requirements, we'll make a custom price quote. Please contact us for more information.
Virto.MAX
Can I have a demonstration?
Currently we do not yet offer Virto.MAX product demonstration. However, we plan to offer this as soon as possible.
When will you release Virto.MAX?
We expect to release Virto.MAX in January 2024.
