Easy 3D modelling
Generate 3D model from your building easily without knowledge of 3D. Placing 2D polygons together with heights will results into an extruded 3D model. If you’re an experienced CAD designer, or work together with a 3rd party design studio, then you can also use these models in your project as well.

Generate module layout
Generate optimized 3D module layouts to maximize your quantity in your project considering edge zones and obstacles (including keep out zones).
Shadow and irradiation
Simulate shadow and irradiation of the sun based on weather date within VirtoCAD. You can simulation the irradiance on either your roof surface or on the modules itself. You can also set a treshhold which will either remove colors and/or modules from your project.

Ballast calculation + bill of materials
Through API integration of mounting systems such as Avasco, Esdec, Van der Valk and SolarStell, we’re able to calculate and visualize ballast. Moreover we can export bill of materials as XLS and download a PDF report.
Export to PVsyst
No need to redraw your 3D rooftop, shading objects and module layout in PVSyst. Export your drawing from AutoCAD or BricsCAD to PVSyst within seconds and simulate the performance and yield of your system.

String mapping + colorization
Draw your strings automatic, semi-automatic or manually (it’s your choice) and colorize them for improved visualization when printed
Cable tray path + routing
Define cable tray paths on and off your roof surface or even bridge between buildings. Place inverters or combiner boxes in or outside your building. Finally route all your AC and DC cable in 3D through the shortest path to each device.

Export overview to Excel
The overview of your project with inverters, modules, string labels, cable lengths and cable sections are exported to Excel.
Import or create terrain with Plex-Earth
Through our partner plugin Plex-Earth, you can import your 3D terrain ground mesh or TIN surface from satellite data (ideal for preliminary design). For your construction projects, you can create an new triangulation from your land survey based on points, contour lines or imported CSV or TXT file.

Rack definition
You can define your own rack in our database that can be used in multiple drawings. All typical properties such as module quantities horizontally and vertically, piles, tilt and ground clearance can be set in this window. Fixed tilt south, east-west and single-axis trackers can be defined.
Module/rack layout generation
Generate your module and rack layout in seconds on a complex 3D mesh or TIN surface. The row pitch can be fixed or variable based on a predefined shadow angle. A variable row pitch will lead to smaller inter-row distance when building uphill, and larger inter-row distance when downhill.

Export to PVSyst
No need to redraw your 3D module layout in PVSyst. Export your drawing from AutoCAD or BricsCAD to PVSyst within seconds and simulate the performance and yield of your system. Both fixed tilt and tracker systems are support through the .PVC export format.
Wiring groups
Create wiring groups to indicate racks or modules in your system configuration. A wiring group typically represents a transformer station, low voltage cabinet or inverter location. It could also be used for a construction phase or to indicate subsidy schemes.

String mapping + colorization
Draw your strings automatically and colorize them for improved visualization when printed
Trench paths + cable routing
Define trenches and transformers. Automatically place inverters or combiner boxes based on string plan to minimize the amount of DC-cable. Finally route all your AC and DC cable in 3D through the shortest path to each device.

Export to Excel
The overview of your project with inverters, modules, string labels, cable lengths and cable sections are exported to Excel.
